Damon Young | Join me at the Global Leadership Summit

Earlier this month, Damon Young, 2021 Lead Wichita Champion and President of Mahaney Group, wrote a guest article in the Wichita Business Journal. Here’s what he had to say:

Leaders matter more now than ever, and we believe that for our community to flourish, we must first lead ourselves.

I am honored to serve as the 2021 Champion for Lead Wichita. The vision of Lead Wichita is to connect, identify, equip and inspire leaders so that individuals, families, organizations and our entire city can flourish. This vision has been nurtured and is growing, in part because of the simulcast of the world’s largest annual leadership event, the Global Leadership Summit, which has infused leadership inspiration and resources into our community over the past 15 years.

The seed was first planted at Pathway Church and in 2016, local businessman Ben Hutton had the vision to bring the Summit to the entire community. Now, Lead Wichita hosts one of the largest Summit sites in North America.

We are excited to return to Intrust Bank Arena on Thursday, Aug. 5 and Friday, Aug. 6 for this year’s Summit. This two-day event features world-renowned faculty representing diverse walks of life and professions from around the globe. It is an experience that has helped shape and advance my own leadership journey in profound ways, along with many other leaders in Wichita.

You are an instrumental and valuable leader, and your participation in the Summit is needed. I know your time is valuable, but I believe this is a unique opportunity to invest in yourself and your team members while also joining hundreds of other leaders to influence and impact our community in powerful ways.

Check out this year’s exceptional faculty lineup and register by visiting LeadWichita.org/GLS. Use code S21WICHITA to save $30 on your ticket.

We believe in all people, and that everyone has influence. We believe in Wichita and that our future is brighter than ever before. Please join us and help change our city!
